             - open areas: no snow, no skiing available

             - woodlots: no snow, no skiing available

On Sunday, October 16, 2011 the campground at Fanshawe closed, thus bringing an end to our 2011 "operating" season.  Even with the campground closed, the trail system is still accessible to patrons should they choose to come out for a walk during these autumn days.  Trail use on all our park trails is from dawn to dusk, and on a daily basis patrons can access the property off of Clarke Road and park in the designated areas.  During the weekends, patrons can parked in the parking lot near the main yellow dam gate and from here can gain access across the dam to the Lookout Trail (yellow blazes) and Meadows Trail (green blazes).  Access and parking for the Tamarack Trail (blue blazes) will be from the parking lot at the main yellow dam gate.  If you are out walking your dog please be respectful of others by stooping and scooping and ensuring your dog is on a leash and under control at all times.
