Fanshawe Reservoir provides many fishing opportunities. The Thames River watershed is located in Fisheries Management Zone/FMZ 16. Please follow the Ontario Recreational Fishing Regulations Summary.

Power-driven vehicles are prohibited at Fanshawe CA, except for:

Battery powered electric propulsion motors

Watercraft with 10 hp or less

Canoe and Kayak Rentals

All equipment is included: paddles, lifejackets, and a safety kit (rope, bail bucket, whistle, and flashlight).
The availability of rentals is weather dependent.

2 hours - $50
4 hours - $75

Booking:
Booking is on a first come, first served basis. Please stop by the Park Office to rent a canoe or kayak.

You must be minimum 18 years old to rent. Any youth under the age of 18 needs to be accompanied by an adult to use the boats.

You will need to provide acceptable ID to rent the equipment, in the form of a valid Drivers License, Health Card, Photo Card, or Hunting License.
